Welcome to Gunflint Lodge.  Nestled in the great stands of pine, birch and aspen, you'll find charming and comfortable cabins, exquisite food, and genuinely friendly and helpful staff.  We invite you to let Gunflint be your special place for making everlasting memories and dreams that come true.  Your only distractions are calling loons, whispering pines, and lapping water.  We'll pamper you with splendid meals, wine, and hors d'oeuvres delivered to your cabin before the evening meal, breakfasts at your cabin door, and as much activity or relaxation as you wish.

The atmosphere is one of wilderness elegance with home-away-from-home comfort and luxury.  Your perfect escape is right here at Gunflint.  The unspoiled surroundings, rich in natural beauty make for a truly unforgettable vacation - away from it all. (Many of the couples who honeymoon here, come back to see us again and again - this is the perfect place to celebrate any special occasion)

It starts with your accommodations-- your own lakeside cabin will be ready and waiting, with a cozy living room with fireplace, an attractive bedroom with a king sized bed and big homemade comforter, a full bath with either a home sized whirlpool tub or a multi-person hot tub, a private sauna and a full kitchen. The cabin is tastefully decorated and is fully equipped-- from big plush towels to all the kitchen items to a stack of firewood, and your refrigerator has a complimentary bottle of champagne for your first evening.

The meals are a real treat.  Breakfast is delivered to your cabin each morning in a covered basket at a time of your choosing.   Lunch comes several ways--in the main dining room, as a packed picnic lunch if you wish to be out for the day, or delivered to your cabin. Before dinner we deliver appetizers and wine to your cabin to enjoy in front of your fireplace.  Dinners at Gunflint set the standard for most of the Upper Midwest.   Five different entrees are offered each evening along with a fresh tasty homemade soup, two kinds of salads, fresh warm breads, and several desserts to choose from for a finishing touch. 

You have an overwhelming variety of activities to pick from. Your Honeymoon Package includes: a boat and motor, a canoe, mountain bikes, and  unlimited horseback riding.  In the winter your cross country skis and snowshoes are included as well as dog sled rides.  You can do as much or as little as you choose, but it is all available anytime you wish, plus all of our  hiking trails, swimming (in season), exploring,picnicing, shopping, and antiquing.

We are open year-around and offer our Honeymoon package for most months.

Two levels of accommodations are available -- You have a choice between a Classic Cabin that has a fireplace, sauna and a homesized whirlpool tub or a Romantic Cottage that has a fireplace, sauna and a two person hot tub.  

Your Honeymoon Package:

Your package includes accommodations at Gunflint in either our Classic Cabins or our Romantic Cottages, all of your meals, wine and appetizers delivered to your cabin each evening, unlimited activities (in summer, boat and motor, canoe, horseback riding...in winter, ski and snowshoe rental, and 1 day with an Adventure Guide or two 1 hour massages.  In the winter months you also get a 1/2 day snowmobile rental or a dog sledding adventure. 

There is a 4 night minimum for this special package.
